Licensure Supervision
Becoming a licensed therapist is a challenging road. You deserve to feel supported so you can take risks and grow into a confident clinician and professional. As an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Sarah offers supervision towards licensure for those on track to become LMFTs in Tennessee and LPC candidates* who can accept more non-LPC licensure hours. *Note this rule is expected to change in late 2024/early 2025.
Our work is joyous. Sarah wants to help you find your unique identity as a clinician. She will promote your confidence and growth as a therapist, while also challenging you to expand your perspective and your capacity for empathy and doing hard things.

Experiential Group Supervision
Using tools from drama therapy, Psychodrama, Gestalt, and the expressive arts, we will work together to explore cases, clinical questions and concepts, and person of the therapist issues in an experiential way. By applying these tools to ourselves and our clinical experiences, we deepen our familiarity with experiential and creative ways of working, while also finding new sides of ourselves and learning about clinical work in new ways.

Waitlist: If the group is full and you’d still like to attend that month, please email Sarah with the subject Waitlist to be added to the waitlist for the month. In case of an unexpected or last-minute opening, Sarah will contact people on the waitlist in the order of emails received.
If there is regularly a substantial number of people on the waitlist, Sarah will consider adding a second monthly group session to the schedule. If this is the case, Sarah will send an email to all interested participants with updated information.
Payment, Cancellations & Transfers: Payment is due at the time of registration, through the website. General policy is that payment is non-refundable.
If needed, you may transfer your registration to a new group date. A $20 administrative fee will be charged for all transfers, and you may only transfer registration once within a calendar year. Please note that the same first-come, first-serve policy will apply, as far as registering for a future date.
Please email Sarah directly to apply your deferred registration to that date and pay the administrative fee, and she will schedule you accordingly. If you have a special circumstance, please contact Sarah directly.
If you cannot attend due to an emergency or unexpected health issue (ie symptoms of illness) please contact Sarah to discuss your situation, as there are exceptions to these policies. Please do not attend group if you have symptoms of an illness.
Intensive
Min/Max: There is a maximum of 6 participants per intensive, per current TN Board licensure rules for MFT Supervision. There is a minimum of 5 participants per intensive. This minimum allows us to keep costs reasonable for an intensive offering.
Waitlist: Sarah will keep a waitlist for instensives, in case of last minute changes. If registration is full, please email Sarah (sarah@sarahrodgerslmft.com) to be added to a waitlist for that intensive date.
Payment, Cancellations & Transfers:
A non-refundable $85 deposit is due at the time of registration through the website. The $500 balance is required to be paid on the Monday of the week of the intensive (5 days prior to intensive start date). General policy is that payment is non-refundable.
If you cannot attend due to an emergency or unexpected health issue (ie: symptoms of illness) please contact Sarah to discuss your situation, as there are exceptions to these policies. Please do not attend group if you have symptoms of an illness.
If a group does not meet the minimum number of participants by Monday of the week of the group, the group may be canceled. You will be notified by email if a group has been canceled and all fees will be refunded or applied to a future date, according to preference.
Supervision Fees & Reports
Fees: In accordance with the policies set forth by the State of Tennessee as of August 21, 2023, all supervisors must obtain notarization of supervision forms when the supervisee has completed their supervision hours.
Sarah Rodgers, LMFT charges $25 to complete the notarized hours form within two weeks of request via an online notary and will return it via email as a pdf. This amount covers the notary fee charged by the notary service.
For a faster turnaround option, Sarah Rodgers charges $55 in order to return it within 3 business days of request, via the same digital notary and email delivery described above.
Supervisor Reports: The supervisor will provide a summary of the supervisee’s clinical contact hours and supervision hours to the state board for the purpose of certifying the completion of supervision under this contract, as part of the application for license. This involves providing the supervisee with a notarized hours form, letter of verification (if requested by the board), and Sarah Rodgers' AAMFT-Approved Supervisor Certificate. This documentation will be provided to each supervisee upon completion of their supervision hours, as indicated by the individual supervisee. The supervisee is responsible for documenting all clinical and supervisory hours independently of the supervisor’s documentation.
Group Supervision Liability Statement
Sarah Rodgers, LMFT, provides adjunct group supervision only and is not the primary supervisor for any group supervisees. Due to the nature of group supervision being sporadic and optional, Sarah Rodgers, LMFT does not track individual supervisee client progress over time, does not have access to any EHR or client notes, and is not liable or responsible for individual client case formulation or clinical skill application in individual clinical cases. While we do sometimes cover individual cases in group supervision, it is simply to get more perspectives on an existing question, explore person of the therapist issues related to the case, or use the case as an example for broader thematic learning. At no time is Sarah Rodgers, LMFT, serving as the primary supervisor of any clinical cases. This group is adjunctive support only.
By registering for this group supervision, you (supervisee) agree to these limitations of liability, past, present or future, of Sarah Rodgers, LMFT’s group supervision services. Moreover, you (supervisee) affirm you have a qualified individual supervisor who serves as your registered supervisor with the state board and primary clinical support with individual client cases, with whom you meet regularly.
